About Us.
Maluja Pty Ltd (ABN: 65 128 502 054) trading as 'On Strike Charters' was registered with the Dept. of Fair Trading in January, 2008. Tempest was purchased in Queensland having previously worked as a commercial fishing boat then charter vessel out of the Tweed River in northern NSW. Our experienced staff have in excess of thirty years fishing experience, the majority of which have been in the local area, possess at minimum a coxswains licences and regularly train in First Aid and boating management/safety.
Forster/Tuncurry is our home port but can accommodate your every need from day charters, overnight charters, weekly or weekend packages including accommodation in Forster/Tuncurry or the majestic village of Harrington where you can enjoy fine food, entertainment and accommodation at Harrington Hotel. We cater for just about every occasion whether booking as a single or group, buck's/hens party, corporate package/team building charters or private/custom bookings.

Safety and Electronics.
Tempest has a 12volt power system housing 3 deep cycle batteries so, like it's sequensed automatic bildge pumps it almost impossible to run into trouble. To guide us safely we rely on top quality instruments including Furuno brand combination GPS/Sounders, Electrophone marine radio, Nokia Next G telephone, Paines Wessex Res-Q-Sat EPIRB with all safety equipment including jackets and flares being complient to 2C survey.
Cancellation Policy.
* Staff and Passenger safety is paramount.
* Where unforseen cuircumstances cause us to cancel your charter (inclement weather, illness or other emergency) On-Strike Charters will fully reimburse you or transfer your adventure to another suitable day-whichever is most convenient for you.
* In the event you cancel or fail to attend your deposit/costs will not be reimbursed except under special circumstances and where the entire number of your group is filled by other party/ies.
* Customers are responsible to pay for the total number of persons/seats booked whether all attend on the day or not.
* Whilst alcohol is permitted, intoxication can result in early return if any person becomes offensive,
aggressive or dangerous to him/herself or others onboard.
Our Tackle.
We provide high quality equipment relying on our range of reels including Shimano overhead 'Charter Specials, Tiagra 50Ws and 'TLD 50/30/20 two speed and TLD 25 - 20' series, Penn International 50T overheads and Diawa GS9 spinning reels. All are cleaned after every trip and stored off the boat.
PLEASE NOTE: Loss and Damage Policy.
On-Strike Charters strive to provide high quality, expensive equipment for your convenience. Sadly though, insurance premiums do not cover equipment damaged or lost. All damaged or lost (Droped overboard) equipment is the responsibility of the client and must be paid for immediately.
